Picture description: We do not need Initiative Z, a “voluntary” scheme organised by the Communist Party, in order to improve the appearance of our villages and towns. For a long time we have cars from makes other than Trabant. We do not go to restaurants to eat just goulash or Slovakian dumplings any more. We have replaced stagnation with progress, old with new and turned from the East to the West. Nevertheless, how deep is this reconstruction? The photography does not moralise. It just captures the Slovakian country, which now asks the question, whether it is ready to become a fully-fledged member of the EU core.
