Picture description: Far from the hustle and bustle of a modern, busy life, far behind the Arctic Circle, in the northern part of Greenland, one of the most isolated and remotest places in the Northern Hemisphere there is a settlement called Ittqqortoormiit. Mostly Inuit have lived there their lives for hundreds and thousands of years in the same way as their ancestors. Much has changed as modern technologies and the Internet have found their ways even here to the remote North. Nevertheless, local people still mainly do hunting for living. Seals, polar bears, walruses, narwhals or muskox are hunted here with the help of traditional dog-teams. It may sound cruel but they only do what they need in order to survive.

Series description: Gardeners – Gardeners - photography series I shoot since 2006. It´s about gardens where each garden is a part of gardening colony situated usually on the city/town periphery. It´s a typical phenomenon in the Czech Republic. The garden is characterized by it´s owner who is a part of the space both as the small cottage. Each owner create and decorate the garden according to himself. I try to capture the individuality of each garden and each personality of the owner and show the differences between them. However there are many things they still have in common which I also try to capture.
